Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport? He began riding at age nine.
Why this sport? When he was age 14, his father bought him a three-year-old horse. "It was important to my father that I develop my sporting success as independently as possible and become independent in the sport. It was a conscious decision not to buy a trained horse at the time. That would have been too easy. I think that helped me later. At least it shaped my attitude to sports. I got the athletic ambition and the will to succeed from it."
